I have a lot of Kraft cardstock but rarely use it for some reason so I’ve used some of it for this card!
As the Smirk for Her paper is a bit doodly/rustic looking, I chose to use some raffia (from Papermania) to add to the rustic look. I also die cut some circles and used my pokey tool to turn them into buttons – mainly because I don’t have any coordinating buttons! I went around the edge of the “buttons” with some cocoa Memento ink and a Sakura Gelly roll pen. I threaded some of the raffia through the centre button and tied a bow. All of the buttons are mounted on foam pads for a bit of dimension.
I cut the larger of the 3 trees from the top half of the Smirk for her paper.
The sentiment is by Hero Arts and stamped in Cocoa Memento ink

Totally Gorjuss – Trees
Woke up to a nice surprise this morning as we were not expecting to get any snow in Leicestershire until next week.
Needless to say, Meadow LOVES it! She was out in the garden for a good hour trying to catch the snow flakes and making little truffle pig noises as she searched for the grass and her neglected garden toys under the snow.
Just a tip for all of you dog owners out there. Put a glob of vaseline/petroleum jelly on their pads before you go out for a walk to stop little clumps of ice forming between their pads. Makes the walk more enjoyable for your dog
Be safe in the snow!
A couple of challenge caught my eye today and I thought it would be a challenge to try and combine them.
They are Charisma Cardz, One for the Girls and Play Date Cafe’s colour challenge using brown, grey and silver. A few of my friends were forced to wear pink so much as a child that they despise it now so the colour combo would work out great for them
I have used
Grey Bazzill cardstock, Bitter Chocolate Bazzill cardstock
Bits of Ivory digi sentiment stamp
Inkadinkado Sketchy Flourishes clear stamp and versamark
Papermania Silver embossing powder
Mulberry paper roses, gems and pearls (which I have coloured with a grey promarker and then used some clear varnish to set the colour)
Silver grosgrain ribbon
It’s kind of ironic that I’m posting this today on the first day of hard frost here in sunny, but literally freezing, Leicester!
This is my GDT project for MyGrafico’s Challenge No. 76 which is “Go Girly”.
Here is what the DT got to work with this week and also what you can win
Don’t forget that there is a MyGrafico DT Call ongoing at the moment!
Have fun with the challenge!
A good few weeks ago on one of the 50% one hour madness sales on MyGrafico.com I purchased the digi paper pack by Dotted Daisy Designs called Floral Fantasy. It’s a cute and very girly pack and when I saw the challenge for Just Magnolia, I knew it would be a perfect opportunity to use it.
The challenge is White + 1 and my plus 1 is pink! (click to be taken to the challenge).
Here’s my card
I have used
Floral Fantasy paper by Dotted Designs
Magnolia Ballerina Tilda stamp
DCWV Pink glittered cardstock
Paper roses from eBay
x-cut border punch
Pink ribbon and white pearls from stash
Promarkers and gelly roll pens
I watched a tutorial on split coast stampers in the week on how to make luminarias and it’s taken me until today to actually try and make one but I’m so glad that I did!
You can find the tutorial here
I had to close the blinds and curtains in the living room before I took the pictures to get the full effect
So easy to make but so effective! I’m going to make a bunch of these to place on the runner for the Christmas table.
I have used
Nellie Snellen circle frame
Red satin ribbon
(and on the inside I have a glass tea light candle holder and a tea light candle so that the whole thing doesn’t burst into flames!)

EDIT: A little toot! The Winter Wonderland DT choose my card as one of their top three for this project 🙂
